1. IIT Chennai

According to NIRF rankings, IIT Chennai, popularly known as IIT Madras, is the top-ranked engineering college in India. S. Jagathrakshakan established the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, formerly known as Bharath Engineering College, in Chennai in 1984. 6. Tagore Engineering College Chennai

The private engineering college Tagore Engineering College is connected to Chennai’s Anna University. The college offers programs mostly in engineering and technology-related fields.
