1. Sable


This one of the animals that start with S, which belongs to the Mustelidae family, Genus Martes, and its Scientific Name is Martes zibellina.

This animal is found in northern Mongolia, Siberia, Russia, Japan, North Korea, eastern Kazakhstan, and China. They are usually seen in forests in the region they are found and is an omnivorous animal

This animal species is about 13 and 22 inches long with a tail that is about 5.1 to 7.1 inches. This animal normally spikes the scales about two and four pounds.

The gestation period of this animal is 245 – 298 days and its fur is distinctive in such a way that it’s very smooth all through.

In 1935 male German Shepherd was bred with a female Siberian grey wolf by a dog breeder whose name is Leendert Saarloos which result in a dog that has a mixture of the blood of a wolf, that was how the Saarloos Wolfdog came into existence.

This breed is very strong and has many wolf-like qualities. They are of different colors which are wolf-brown, wolf-grey, white, or red. Due to the dominating gray gene they have, made red, wolf-brown, and white to be very few.

Sea turtles lay and hatch their eggs on the beach. The parents have no role in breeding their younger ones.

All sea turtle species are said to be threatened While two species which are the Hawksbill turtle and Kemp’s ridley are critically endangered.

15. Serval


servals also known as Felis servals are cats that have legs and ears that are very long. Also belongs to the family Felidae, that are commonly seen in Africa south of the Sahara mostly in the country that is near water covered with grass and brush.

Their scientific name is Leptailurus serval and their nickname is ‘giraffe cat’, they are listed as the Least concern.
