Deutsche Bracke is on our list of animals that start with D. Is a domesticated animal and its scientifical name is Canis lupus Familiaris native to Westphalia, a region of northwestern Germany. Is a breed of dog that is used for hunting both small and large games.

Small dogs of about 16 – 21 ins with a hard coat, are not popular outside their native land and are family pets. They are one of the oldest breeds and they have a sharp sense of smell which made them a highly regarded hunting breed in Germany.

They are very smart, calm, and intelligent, and love people around them. When they are indoors they blossom more than where they lived traditionally which is in outdoor kennels. They are not on the list of endangered species.

It is a rodent commonly found in central and western Namibia, southwestern Angola, and northwestern South Africa. In Afrikaans, “dassie” means “hyrax,” and they are both in the area.

Dassie rat looks like a squirrel but has a long tail and is always seen in rocky outcroppings and is highly regarded because is the only existing member of the Petromuridae family.

It is the tallest among the three species of camel; adult males stand 1.8–2.4 m at the shoulder, while females are about 1.7–1.9 m tall. Its origins can be traced back to the Middle East and Northern Africa.

 Dromedary camels are said to have been domesticated for thousands of years as swift desert mounts and pack animals.

There are no longer any true wild populations existing in nature. Nonetheless, feral dromedaries exist throughout their species and in central Australia, behaving exactly like wild populations.

It has a woolly coat color and looks tousled from seasonal exfoliating. It is also listed as ”Critically Endangered” by the IUCN
